"From The Depths . . ." Showcases Local Art WorkFrom the depths of downtown Pomona, 17 artists have risen from their basement gallery to spread the word that organisms and objects of all types have come "From The Depths . . ." of space, the jungle, the ocean and their minds and can be found at the Progress Space Gallery in Pomona during the months of June and July 2007. The Shameless Self-Promoters, a group of local artists, are once again on the prowl and have created a new art show that is more varied then their first show "Eklektikos", more exciting then their second show "Wild Things", and with variations in media and subject matter that the title "From The Depths . . ." inspires. The artists would like to invite you and the public to their Artist's Reception on Saturday June 9 where from 6 -10pm you can meet the artists, enjoy the ambiance, and view the artwork. Due to the popularity of the Artist's Receptions at the previous two shows, a second reception will be held on Saturday July 14 from 6-10 pm. Admission to the show is free and the normal gallery hours during the shows run, June 3 - July 28, will be Thursday - Sunday 11am-4pm. During normal gallery hours one of the showing artists will be present to answer queries about the group and artwork.
Lucien van Oosten is the founding member of the Shameless Self-Promoters and he is available to answer questions and for interviews.
