Artist Profile
Alex studies ceramics, drawing, and painting. Citrus College
sculpting courses introduced him to working with clay, and he
feels that clay is a marvelous way to express himself. He loves
the texture and life of clay, and it is now his favorite medium.
He received inspiration and learned many useful techniques from
his sculpting instructor at Citrus, where he was definitely bitten
by the “clay bug”.
His work has been greatly influenced by contemporary Japanese
and Mexican sculptors. Alex’s art has been displayed in Glendora
Art Walks, as well as in on-line galleries. His future plans are
to teach in the arts, mainly in sculpture, and to continue working
on his MFA.
