Artist Profile
Melissa, a recent graduate of Alta Loma High School, has had
drawings published in her school’s fine arts magazine and in
Alta Loma’s yearbooks. Her earliest yearbook contribution was in
sixth grade, when she won the yearbook cover drawing contest. She
shows her art in local galleries and has won numerous awards.
Her creativity was expanded during high school AP studio art
classes and ceramics classes, and continues to evolve. Her love
for nature is reflected in her use of organic free forms and
vibrant colors. She is also very interested in the human form,
focusing on extreme bone definition. Melissa’s love for art
provides an outlet from which she feels her creativity can flow
and her emotions can be explored.
