Ascension
SSP coordinator Lucien van Oosten
has been working closely with the Fontana Art Association and he
is excited to announce that the first show in the newly renovated
Koehler Gallery is "Ascension - a rise from the ashes". This show
includes seascapes and landscapes by John
Wolfskill, pen and ink images by Lucien
van Oosten, bronze cowboy statues by James Rogers,
ceramic tiles by Susan
Hoskinson and pottery by Becky Peck. Together these
artist have created a diverse and eclectic show,
which guarantees that everyone
will find a piece that enthralls and inspires them. The show will
run during February & March 2009 with
an artist reception scheduled on March 7th from 5-9pm. The show
hours are Tues - Sat 11am to 4pm. The show will be held at the Koehler
Gallery located
at 8536 Sierra Ave. in Fontana, Ca. Koehler
Gallery
The Fontana Art Association has put a lot of time and effort into
renovating the Koehler Galley. The results of their effort is a
clean and pleasing space that highlights the art on display. The
first show in the newly renovated space will be "Ascensions -
a rise from the ashes". The image below shows artwork
hung on the freshly painted and well lighted walls of the gallery.
Downtown
Pomona
The underground
Progress Space Gallery in Downtown Pomona developed into a great place where new
innovative and original art could be seen. The Downtown Pomona
area is under going renovations as the Fox Theater is preparing to
reopen and new business will fill the blocks around it. The planned
renovations will affect the Progress Space Gallery but the full
details are not yet available.
